Six Homes, Zero Filter: My Listings Tour This October

A tree-lined Ontario street in late October with autumn leaves and warm evening light

It is late October, which means the leaves are doing their dramatic exit, there is pumpkin spice in every cup within a five-kilometre radius, and the market is keeping everyone on their toes. Nationally, home sales eased back a bit in September, the Canadian Real Estate Association reported 2.3 per cent lower month over month, which honestly is fine. Less chaos, more actual conversations about what you want. So here is the fun part: my current lineup. Six very different homes, one common thread, they are all worth your time. Grab a coffee.

158 Hunter Street East, Hamilton

Meet the four-leaf clover of Hamilton: four units, one address, and about $90,900 in gross annual rent. It is a downtown Hamilton four-plex on a quiet street, yes, quiet, we checked. Investors, this one speaks your language. Roughly 6.49 per cent cap rate, four separate kitchens, and an inclusions list that reads like a landlord's dream. Honest hat on: the property is zoned as a single-family home, so bring your lender, your lawyer, and a healthy respect for city hall and verify the details before you fall in love. It also comes with a cinematic walkthrough video, naturally.

56 Lockheed Crescent, Brampton

A brick beauty in Fletchers Meadow with a living room that rocks a red accent wall, because this house believes in commitment. Single-family, open concept, and the kind of front porch that says sit a while. Brampton buyers who want space, light, and a dining room that can actually fit a table, this one is for you.

42 Terrace Avenue, Welland

This one is a backsplit, which means it has more levels than your average video game and a family can actually spread out. Four levels, 3+1 bedrooms, and two kitchens. Two kitchens. That is multi-generational living with separate midnight-snack territories. It has its own entrance to the lower level, not a scrap of carpet anywhere, a main bath updated in 2026, and a 110-foot-deep lot with no rear neighbours. Translation: nobody judging your backyard. It sits near the Welland Recreational Waterway, so weekend walks are sorted.

50 George Butchart Drive, Unit 608, North York (Coming Soon)

Coming soon, and worth the wait: a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom North York condo with floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony with a view, a kitchen that got the upgrade treatment with custom cabinets and quartz, and in-suite laundry plus your own parking spot and locker. The building has a gym, a kids' playroom, a media room, a yoga studio, indoor-outdoor lounges and a BBQ area, and condo fees include internet. So yes, your "I will start working out this winter" excuse has officially been demolished. Reach out for details before it hits the market.

31 Townsend Drive, Unit 66, Breslau

This one is a townhouse like a townhouse's overachieving cousin: an end unit with over 2,700 square feet, which basically makes it a house that politely declined the lawn. Main-floor primary bedroom with a walk-in closet and a renovated ensuite. Kitchen with a waterfall island, yes, very fancy, no, we will not judge your coffee station. Fully finished basement with a wet bar. Double garage. Fresh paint, updated appliances, minutes from Kitchener-Waterloo. Your friends will claim they are visiting you, but really they are visiting the wet bar.

630 Rogers Road, Unit 21, Toronto

Move-in ready is a phrase people throw around; this townhouse actually means it. Built in 2019 and looked after by its original owner, this main-floor 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom Toronto townhouse has brand-new flooring, quartz counters, gold accents, subtle and classy, stainless steel appliances with a stove that got an upgrade in 2025, full in-unit laundry, one owned parking spot plus visitor parking, and transit basically at the door. No renos, no projects, no "we will get to it." The only decision you will make is where the sofa goes.

So that is the tour. A four-plex that does the math for you, a backsplit with kitchen diplomacy, a townhouse with a wet bar that will end your friendships in a good way, and a condo that will end your gym excuses. If any of these made you smile and think "hmm," let's talk. I am Tory Akene, REALTOR® with Real Broker Ontario Ltd. Text or call 289-814-TORY (8679), or book a time with me online. Want the walkthrough video of any of these? Just ask. Fair warning: the videos are cinematic, and you may never want to look at your own place again. Kidding. Mostly.
